    Important Points About Your Hearing Before The Hearing Officer:
  • File your appeal on time.
  • Your hearing is on the Issues you appealed as a result of the insurer's determination to deny you some benefit.
  • Be present at the hearing.
  • Bring your evidence documents.
  • Bring your witnesses.
  • Know your Issues and the points necessary to prove them.
  • If you live too far away or are housebound, contact the Hearing Office early to make arrangements to file documents or give telephone testimony instead of appearing.
Caution

This information represents only the most common Issues and the elements of proof for each. There are other Issues For Appeal   if there is a decision against you by an insurer, employer, or a Managed Care Organization.
